niche kin appreciation 7: share your favourite aspects of your kin

my favourite thing about us enderfolk is our sneakiness. we are perfectly adapted to the night, you see, as evidenced by our black skin that camouflages us and our glowing purple eyes that allow us to see in the dark very well. and we are very good at sneaking around too! our movements are perfectly calculated, our steps silent, our breaths almost imperceptible. if you see an enderman at night, its because it wanted you to see it. and that is not a good thing at all.

as for physical features, i quite like our tails! the tail is what we use to express emotion to other endermen; a still tail means the enderman is tense or otherwise not having a good time. if its wrapped around ones leg, it means its very scared or stressed out (i tend to do this when im trapped in a crowded environment, for example!). a happy enderman will be swaying its tail from side to side, slowly, though if it is excited it can wag it faster. not to be confused with an angry or frustrated enderman, which will swing its tail from side to side very quickly, faster the closer it is to attacking! but dont worry, if it gets to this state, you will find out soon enough :)
